Everyone Love a Parade – Come on out and join me in MarlboroughLabor Day – September 6th 12:00 Noon
Inviting all – Legionnaires, Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Riders to join me in the annual Labor Day Parade in Marlborough MA. Send your Color/Honor Guards if you have them, if not just send your colors with a flag bearer and we will mass the colors with the Department Color Guard (hoping to have many Legion, Auxiliary and SAL colors flying). Uniform is summer uniform (black pants with gold strip and white uniform shirt). For those who do not have a uniform just wear your hat and business casual attire (Kakis and Polo shirt like at national convention). This is a large parade with over 160 marching units and streets are lined three, four and five deep the entire parade route. Come on out for an enjoyable day!!
While the parade starts at 12:00 noon the roads close early and the last bus from the post to the starting point leave about 11:30, also parking is limited, so I would get to the post between 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
If you are sending your Color/Honor Guards please advise me ar fmacdonald53@verizon.net or (508) 477-0955. So I can let the Post know how many units will be in attendance. For those who cannot march there is a float and the Waltham Band Trolley is usually available for riders.
